Leading Learning Day 1

29 November 2018

Interested in impactful CPD that is evidence-informed? This month we began our Leading Learning programme. The programme facilitates school leaders in their development of evidence-informed CPD. Day One was a huge success and generated some very purposeful discussion amongst the delegates.

“It [course content] was all really thought provoking and positive. The sources of research to direct staff towards were really helpful and the reflection points linking to the CPD Standards provided a focus for our rationale for our CPD model.”

We make the distinction between Quality Assurance and Quality Control. All schools have to react to the demands of particular cohorts and issues that impact the students outside of the curriculum. The intention of our programme is to Quality Assure the  over impact of teaching across a school. How can you support your staff in driving better student outcomes? There are no easy answers, but this is not a challenge we shy away from.

“A high quality well thought out day. Often on courses facilitators talk first about leaving early and it being an opportunity to chat. I liked the fact it was intensive. As we really have to be particular about the courses we choose, I want value for money not to leave early and have a friendly chat. I want to learn in a focused way and this course was well planned, jam packed and intelligent.”

It’s not too late, if you would like to take part in this programme. We are considering running a second cohort that will start in February 2019. If you are interested, please send expressions of interest to emily.hughes@collegiateacademy.org.uk
